
The Close Discretionary Diversified Fund aims to achieve income with capital growth. The fund aims to have a yield in excess of the FTSE All Share Index. The Fund will primarily invest in higher yielding equities and fixed interest securities (including government and corporate bonds (which may include emerging market and high yield bonds)). Such equities and securities will primarily be in the UK. This fund has returned 6.40% year to date.
The Fidelity Retirement Income Fund's investment objective is to achieve a combination of income and long term capital growth. The Fund's policy is to invest in a range of investments covering markets throughout the world and providing exposure to bonds, equities, index based commodity derivatives, property and cash. The Fund will invest primarily in collective investment schemes, including schemes managed by Fidelity, and may also invest directly in equities, bonds, money market instruments, cash and deposits. This fund is considered a very conservative, low risk fund, aimed at those with a view to retirement. It has returned 3.40% year to date.Both of the funds shown above have an HBFS risk rating of between 1-2 out of 10 and therefore, we recommend these funds for the more risk averse investor.
